The Federal Government has appointed Mr. Osita Aboloma, as the new Director-General, Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
Aboloma was among the 13 new appointments made by the federal government Monday.
He replaces Dr Paul Angya, who took over from Dr. Joseph Odumodu who left office early this year.
The federal government also appointed Alhaji Usman Abubakar as Chairman of Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).
In a statement Monday, the Director of Press, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Mr. Bolaji Adebiyi, said 11 other appointments were made by the federal government.
They include Princess Gloria Akobundu – the National Coordinator and Chief Executive of New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD); Mr. Ahmed Bobboi – Executive Secretary, Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF); Mr. Mamman Amadu -Director General, Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP); Mr. Joseph Ari, Director-General, Industrial Training Fund (ITF); Ms. Sharon Ikeazor, Director-General, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD); Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim, Director-General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
Others include, Mr. Simbi Wabote – Executive Secretary of Nigerian Content Monitoring Board (NCMB); Mr. Umana Okon Umana – Managing Director, Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority;
Ms. Sa’adiya Faruq – Federal Commissioner for National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons; Ms. Yewande Sadiku – Executive Secretary, Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) and Dr. Bello Aliyu Gusau – Executive Secretary, the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).
